20 years ago we came into a little bit of money. I desperately wanted to go to Singapore, my husband wanted a boat - we got the boat. I never forgot what I wanted and finally in 2005 and then again in 2006 I got to go to Singapore (minus the husband).
What can I say. I just love Singapore. Both of these 2 week holidays were fantastic. I had the wonderful opportunity to travel here with my sister and my 2 children. Most people only pass through Singapore and they miss out on a lot. My idea of travel is to stay in one place and explore it as much as possible, so that is what I did.
Each time I have been here the people are so friendly and there is so much to see and do. It is a safe, clean city. Modern and old architecture stand side by side. Markets trade next to shopping centres. Huge trees covered in ferns are everywhere. Orchids bloom like weeds.
So many different cultures live here. What "country" should I visit. I can go to India without getting Delhi Belly, I can go to Malaysia or should I go to China. So many different foods, so many nationalities to talk to, such a large variety of shopping.
I have fallen in love with Singapore, and it is a city that I could easily live in.
