The Thury Castle - Varpalota
The Thury Castle
Well worth a short visit!

Várpalota is right at half way between Székesfehérvár and Veszprém.
If we pass nerby, we used to stop to visit the centre of the town, and the medieval Thury castle wich isn`t very big, but it`s in fine shape.
The town`s name derives from the composition of 2 words: Vár means castle, while palota means Palace

I like also the churches of Várpalota. They are simple, but very cute!

This church can be found on the opposite side of the Castle. Unfortunately it`s never open
