Dubai Travel Guide: 2,418 reviews and 6,506 photos
I moved to Dubai at the beginning of May 2008 and have discovered a lot during my still relatively short time here. The biggest lesson? Relax! Nothing really works the same way it does at home and I am living in the Middle East, so... go witb the flow!
My first impressions of Dubai are that it is an extremely modern city that still has a long way to go until completion! Just about everywhere you look is construction - I can see 25 cranes from my balcony alone!
There is surpisingly quite a lot to do in Dubai and a tourist (as well as a resident) can easily fill their days or weekends without worry. Nearly every taste is catered for with HUGE shopping malls, museums, beaches, nice resturants as well as adventure sports a plenty.
The upcoming hot weather may drive me indoors over the next couple of months, but I'll try to add more tips as I discover them.

where are the arts in dubai? and the circle work? ah - the arts are in the museums - and the circle work is maybe out on the highways
