I was only in Bangkok for 24 hours as it was a stopover on my way home after 5 weeks away. I used the time to paper myself and get a "little" shopping done.

I was incredibly impressed at what I saw of bangkok. The roads are impressive and smooth, it's not too smelly, everything is reasonably clean, the food is fantastic, shopping awesome and the people helpful and polite. This is not the Bangkok that I'd been told about. Admittedly I only stayed within the tourist areas, but compared to other city's tourist areas, Bangkok's were tourist friendly and clean.

It has definitely inspired me to return and see more of Thailand someday.

I recently returned to Bangkok for a 3 week tour of Thailand. I got to see much more this time around and was thankful for it. You either love or hate Bangkok, but I'm definitely on the love side. I'd love to return!!
