Guian Eastern Samar offers alot of surprises for a traveler. A charming small town. It has basic accomodations that offes clean rooms, with bathroom and airconditioner at 600 to 800 pesos for two pax a night. There are numerous beachers to go to for a swim. Snorkel around the island and beaches. Try hiking to Calicoan island and even just around the town. Surfing is another well kept secret of the town. Fresh fish abound and is super cheap and San Miguel Beer is at 25 pesos a bottle.

This church was built in 1595. This has seen a numerous pirates attacks and marauders from the South Seas. It has withstand earthquakes, typhoons, and wars. This is now under the protection by the National Historical Institute.

Off the shore of Guian is Homonhon Island, a historical island where Magellan landed after more than three months of the perilous crossing the Pacific Ocean.

Go island hopping around. Hire a banca for a day ( P1000 - 15000 ) to take you to Tubabao Island, Pear Island, and Victory Island. Swim and snorkel in these island. Marvel at the giant clams in Pearl Island. White sand beaches, corals, and friedly locals are staples. But do not forget to bring your own snorkeling gear, water , and a little food.
