Istanbul! | Sultanahmet and Hagia Sofia |
Istanbul is a classic city. Few other cities house as much history as does Istanbul. You could spend a week in Istanbul alone and still miss some great sites. Thankfully, Istanbul is very tourist friendly and being a traveller here is not a lot of work. I would more than welcome any opportunity to come back to Istanbul to see some sites I missed, and to take better pictures of the sites I already saw. As far as big cities go, at least compared to the big cities in other countries that I've been to, Istanbul ranks really high. Cradled by the lovely Bosphorous, and split between two Continents, Istanbul is a massive city which approximately 20 million people now call home. |
| | Thanks Emre I was really glad to have run into my good friend Emre, who was working at Hotel Spina in Istanbul while I was there. He was kind enough to show me around, and accompany me while we ran around Istanbul chasing after women and trying to save poor tourists who were being taken advantaged off by Turkish crooks. And still had time to sit down to some nargileh. Good times Emre! |
