Even though this could come as a bit of unbelievable stuff: There are gyms on almost every block - and in almost as many are opportunities to train and get a great workout. The sport tip here is for people who are little more puggy and enjoy a good scrap. Fes is wealthy with talented fighters, so just duck into to any of the gyms you see along the streets and see if they have a padded floor. There's your clue! Or, as I would like to stress in this tip, train in your own place!
Equipment: Better if you have your own gloves, the gym gloves are fairly foul. You can buy them at some gyms.

For the punishing version of this game (no money, just spanks) You must play this game to NOT lose - got it? Otherwise there is a severe hand-whacking waiting for you at the end...no matter who you are (even though polite and timid folks bow out with a 'la3fu'...
Equipment: A pack of Moroccan playing cards that will be mutilated by the end of the game through folding, throwing, dramatic wins or losses...

Pick up soccer in the street, on a beach, at a park is a great way to get to know people. Moroccans totally dig on the sport and it has a rabid following. Just jump into a game - no one will refuse you. And you can communicate your excitement at being in Morocco through your playing. Moroccan kids love to break out flashy moves that don't always benefit their teams but look cool. Go on, jump in, boo.
Equipment: Shorts, comfy shoes, and anything else you'd wear for a pick up game.

From donkey to horses, your choices are rather omnipresent. Strike a off-the-tourist-track deal with someone to ride or do it through the larger equestrian parks near the big cities.

Sports Travel: Rugby Lite - Daily Moroccan Life

Though it is considered bad form to bodycheck old women in the States, you may find yourself doing it here. Do it without anger, and you will be excused. This Rugby Lite is performed at banks, on buses, trains, utilities drop-offs, baggage claims, etc. Anyway there are more than 5 people and queue - beef up, baby, cuz' you will need to assert your self.
