One trip to visit, one passing through

by SurfaceTravel - last update: Aug 29, 2006

One week visit in 2000

We stayed at the Novotel Peace Hotel and did all the mainstream tourist sites: Tiananmen Square, Chairman Mao's mausoleum, the Forbidden City, the amazing Summer Palace, Mutianyu Great Wall, Bell and Drum Towers, the cyclo tour through the Hutongs, Temple of Heaven. Photos are not scanned in yet.

We then went on to a Yangtze River cruise

Forbidden City

Passing through in 2005

This was part of an overland trip from London, UK to Hanoi, Vietnam. Details and photos of the time in Beijing and the Great Wall are in the attached travelogues.
