    • My boyfriend has lived in Newbury/Reading for over 20 years and did'nt know this was here!!

    Just a short ride up the hill from the town centre you get to Donnington Castle.

    The striking twin-towered 14th- century gatehouse of this castle, later the focus of a Civil War siege and battle, survives amid impressive earthworks.

    The view from up here is great too!
