Dachau is more than just an hour to visit. Try to allot as much time as you can to staying in Dachau. Having time to walk around and view everything will be something worthwhile.

The camp may seem to be relatively small, but make sure you visit everything. Everything is worth seeing, so try not to skip out of any of it.

Visit the bookstore for great books and pictures.

The back of the camp is the more visual aspect of the camp. Everything from the ovens to the fumigation cubicles, it will sink it. Seeing the chapel and the statues are worth seeing and I would highly recommend spending some time beyond the remains of the residential buildings.
