Here and Now!

"'Tis strange how people find time to hate, when life is too short for love.'"

Thanks, Dad.

There are certain quirks at VT. It lists only major towns. I plan my trips around small towns, that few people know of. Ergo, you will find Krimmlphalz, the highest waterfall in Europe, under Feldkirsche, Hallstatt under Salzburg and my favorite village in Germany, under Munich.

Feldkirsche also contains a travelogue as does San Francisco, where I live.

"There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
So do the ripples in the mind...

And if you go no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone

You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home"

In a many dark hour I've been thinkin' about this
That Jesus Christ
Was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you
You'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot
Had God on his side.

"If you can walk with kings, and not lose the common touch, you will be a man, my son"
The Savage Nation

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields."

I agree, the places best viewed don't have the back of someone's head in the way.

Thought I'd stop by to give greetings, and hoping things are well for you and yours. Grisha and Zen

Is your photo under the "brief explanation" heading from around Fresno? Nice - as well as the bridge in the fog.
