Actually this hotel is now known simply as Hotel Maya (formerly Park Plaza Hotel and Grand Sri Maya). Now this hotel has been redesigned into a fabulous urban boutique hotel with superb interior design and one-of-its-kind services. I really loved the studio room which I stayed in. Timber-strip floors, well-appointed bathroom with luxurious rainshower, heavenly twin beds, etc. The room utilises a lot of mirrors which gives it a very chic look. I also loved the swimming pool, simply amazing. It is called a Hydrotheraphy Pool (waterjets a la jacuzzi and heated to perfection). To be honest, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in KL!

Unique Qualities: The room, the Sky Lounge (KLCC view, very fantastic at night), the Hydrotherapy Pool, unique breakfast serving at the Maya Brasserie, great services overall.

I liked the architecture of Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa, one of the latest hotels in Kuala Lumpur. The main selling point is probably the room - spacious, chic and modern. I simply loved the timber-strip floor. The overall interior design of the hotel isn't that bad either, with extensive usage of woods, exquisite lighting and adequate mirror. The pool is quite small though. Great morning buffet breakfast at the Tonka Beans Restaurant.

To me, the best selling point of the new KL Hilton is the room (aka the Deluxe Innovation Room). The room interior is very chic, with usage of retro colour scheme such as black, white, dark red and pinewood. The king-size bed opens into a glassy bathroom. Did I forget to mention about the 42" LCD screen TV? The bed is comfortable and well appointed. Thumbs up for the room. The hotel lobby, swimming pool, etc were just average for me. Still, it's a great 5-star hotel!

For info, the formerly KL Mutiara Hotel is now known as Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel. I stayed in a Grand Deluxe room with side view of the Petronas Twin Towers. OK, about the room. It was fabulous! I loved the timber-strip floor, the bed design, sofa set and the overall spaciousness of the Grand Deluxe room. And yes, the rainshower was just heavenly! Thumbs up for the room. The lobby lounge was quite nice too, with modern and chic furnishing. The food was average though (Planter's Restaurant). The swimming pool was OK, but the view of the city especially at night was amazing! Overall, this is a very good hotel to stay. Don't get fooled by the old exteriors.

Loved the lobby arrangement. Despite being rated a 4-star hotel, Traders has done pretty well in interior design. The room was nice too, especially the decorative stuff in the bathroom, very chic indeed. My room had superb view of the Petronas Twin Towers amidst the greenery of KLCC Park. The main selling point of Traders Hotel KLCC is the Sky Lounge, an open roof top place where the swimming pool and cocktail bar are located. A great city hotel!

Often considered as the lesser of the two siblings (the other being the KL Hilton right next door), Le Meridien is just as fabulous on its own right. I liked the hotel lobby much better than the neighboring KL Hilton. The room is nice too, just as you would have expected from a Le Meridien brand. The swimming pool is fabulous and is shared with its neighbour (giving a total length of 120 metres of landscaped swimming area). Great city hotel. Thumbs up!

Often described as the best service suites in the city. The Ascott is a modern 5-star establishment. The room was nice, but not the best I have seen. The lobby was beatifully done with modern facilities. The main selling point to me was the swimming pool at the roof top which opens up to fabulous view of the city.
