Love in The Moment
I was repeating the past & fearing the future. Suddenly God was speaking. "My name is I Am".
I waited, God continued.
"When you live in the past, with its mistakes & regrets, it is hard. I am
not there. My name is not I was."
When you live in the future, with its problems & fears, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I will be."
When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here. My name is I Am.
"You will recognize your own path when you come upon it because you will suddenly have all of the energy and imagination you will ever need."
Jerry Gillies
May the sun bring you new energies by day.
May the moon softly restore you by night.
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
and the breeze blow new strength into your being.
And then,
all the days of your life,
may you walk gently
thru the world
and know it's beauty.
.................. Sometimes you have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you will discover will be wonderful. What you will discover will be yourself....... ................ Toss your cares upon the wind and let the sun rise in your heart...... .............Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open......
"There are only 2 ways you can live. One is as if nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is a miracle. I believe in the latter." ~Albert Einstein.
"I know God won't give me anything I can't handle...I just wish he didn't trust me so much!!!!!"~Mother Theresa.
The Wolves Within
An old grandfather, whose grandson came to him with anger at a schoolmate who had done him an injustice, said "Let me tell you a story. I, too, at times have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times.
"It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good, and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way."
"But the other wolf is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great.
"It is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit."
The boy looked intently into his grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"
To which the grandfather solemnly replies, "The one I feed." .
........... If I could sit across the porch from God I would thank him for giving me you....*smile*.............
Hi my friends
Don't know how you found your way to my page but I am so glad you did!!!
I have been a member of Virtual Tourist for almost 9 (holy smokes! really? Without a doubt it is THE coolest site on the web and the absolute best place to get up to the minute travel info and tips and meet great people from all over this wonderful world of ours.
The secret to happiness in life is to grow, change and add wisdom to yourself. You do that by looking within yourself, seeking Gods Truth for you & applying those things to your life. I think that travel is one tool to use to help you do that by enabling you to expand your perception of yourself and the place you hold in this world.
I still have alot of this world left to see but I have loved the places that I have visited so far ...*smile*

BEGINNING TODAY
~Author unknown~
I will no longer worry about yesterday.... I will no longer worry about tomorrow......I cannot make the most of tomorrow without first making the most of today.... I will look in the mirror and I will see a person worthy of my respect and admiration...... I will cherish each moment of my life. I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and I will unselfishly share this gift with others..... I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others..... I will take a moment to step off the beaten path and to revel in the mysteries I encounter...... I will face challenges with courage and determination...... I will overcome what barriers there may be which hinder my quest for growth and self-improvement..... I will take life one day at a time, one step at a time. Discouragement will not be allowed to taint my positive self-image, my desire to succeed or my capacity to love..... I will open my mind and my heart..... I will welcome new experiences..... I will meet new people..... I am responsible for my own happiness and I will do things that make me happy . . .pleasure can be found in the most simple of gestures.....
I will learn something new; I will try something different; I will savor all the various flavors life has to offer...... I will change what I can and the rest I will let go...... I will strive to become the best me I can possibly be.......
Of all the judgments we pass in life, none is as important as the one we pass on ourselves.
The six pillars of self-esteem are: living consciously, Self Responsibility, self-acceptance, self-assertiveness, living purposefully, personal integrity,
Living consciously is being fully present to what we are doing~when we are doing it.
Self-acceptance is my willingness to own my thoughts, my emotions, and my past actions without denial and without badmouthing myself. It is freedom of consciousness.
Self-Responsibility means I am the author of my choices and actions. I am responsible for my life, my well being and for the achievement of my desires.
Self-assertiveness means honoring my wants, needs and values. To live authentically, to speak and act from my innermost convictions and feelings-as a way of life.
Living purposefully is to use our powers for the attainment of goals we have selected. It is our goals that lead us forward, that energize our existence.
Personal Integrity is the integration of ideals, convictions, standards, beliefs and behavior. Am I honest, reliable and trustworthy? Do I keep my promises? Do I do the things I say that I admire?
To trust ones mind and to know that one is worthy of happiness is the essence of self-esteem.

A young woman asks, 'When will I find the man God set aside for me?'
Dear Renita,
I am thankful for all that God has given me...a wonderful mom and dad, sister and brother-in-law, and our newest addition, my first niece! Still a question arises in me-when will I find the husband he has set aside for me? Lately that question seems to overwhelm me. I am 22 and have never had a boyfriend. I can't help thinking, what is wrong with me? I know God has eternal love for me, yet there are days when I feel I am not loved...and that is the worst feeling. Any advice on how I should think about this situation?
Thanks, Maggie
Dear Maggie,
As special as intimacy with God may be, and as thankful as you and I are for the assurance of God's everlasting love, none of this changes the fact that as human beings we need more. Throughout all our lives, whether male or female, we long for and search after relationships that promise genuine intimacy, relationships that will touch the core of our innermost being. We are eager to find that someone with whom we can be relax and be ourselves. It may take some of us longer to find our lifelong soul mate. It took me almost 40 years.
So there's nothing wrong with you. But keep mind that you're only 22 years old! God may indeed have a soul mate destined for you, and I believe that He does; but He probably knows better than to put the two of you together right now. Let's be honest: You don't need a husband right now, you need experience. You need the experience that comes with meeting and interacting with men who are not family.
You haven't yet developed the emotional, psychological, and spiritual muscle needed to survive the rough-and-tumble of love. Get your education. Get a job. Travel. Meet and get to know different kinds of men. Discover who you are. Find out what you like and dislike. Strengthen your spiritual walk with God. And be confident that in time you'll experience the joy (and the sorrow) that comes with building a marriage and family of your own. In the meantime, live.
Love will come. More love than you can stand. All sorts of love. Good and bad love. And because you took your time to discover some things about who you are as a woman of faith, you'll have the outer and inner resources enough to be able to choose the love that's best for you.
Blessings,
Renita

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-three students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and moms freely brushed away tears.
This class would not pray during the commencements --- not by choice but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.
The principal and several students were careful to stay within the
guidelines allowed by the ruling.
They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families.
The speeches were nice, but they were routine.......until the final speech received a standing ovation.
A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said: "GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!"
And he walked off stage...
The audience exploded into applause. The graduating class found a unique way to ask God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval
Isn't this a wonderful story?
