Travelling The trip was arranged for two weeks for me and my wife that time living in UK, via internet. We found the cheapest airfare via BIMAN (later found out it was Bangladesh airline), to Bangkok. The schedule was 3 days to see tha area and then travel north to Chang Mai with train, back to Bangkok and then south by train to Phuket.
The flght by itself was an adventure event. Inside rich Bangladeshi and women loaded with gold, but kids witout diapers piing inside the aircraft. A stop to Dhaka and then Bangkok. On the way back the aicraft was taken by the foreign minister for a visit to UK, so the flight was cancelled and all passengers including ourselves had to stay either in Dhaka or Bangkok! Next day took another aircraft that went to London through Dhaka-Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt. |
Chang Mai, Bangkok, Phuket Chang Mai: The real Thailand, pure not fully exploited, mostly orinigal Phuket: Not having to go there for sandy beaches, very touristic Bangkok: A good experience from every aspect but not fgor long. Visit the wats (temples), palace, market, nightlife and leave ASAP. |
