Baiyoke Tower: Okay views, bad food...
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • We decided to go to the Baiyoke Tower for dinner... we ended up on the 78th floor. The rooms were covered with some stuff that affected our views. The food was cold once you sat down at your table, it was from a buffet, and not that good, and expensive compared to what you can find in Bangkok. So I would suggest to only go to the Baiyoke Tower for the views on the viewing deck on the 84th floor!

Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn): Just beautiful
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • The Wat Arun lies on the other side of the river Chao Phraya. You can climb the difficult steps to almost halfway, there you have some nice views over Bangkok.

Democracy Monument: Not to be missed
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • If you want some airconditioning, just go and sit by the MacDonalds near the Democracy Monument, then you also have a good view on this monument, it is okay, not that beautiful, but it is huge and dominates the street!

Dusit Zoo: Lots of animals and fun with elephants
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • When you enter the Dusit Zoo you will almost certainly encounter some elephants. They are enjoying themselves making the visitors wet, it is fun to see these animals. There are some nice animals to be watched in this zoo, it offers some nice areas and some bad developed areas, but is an okay zoo, it has a big place where you can find food, but it is inside and not that fun to sit, a bit further in the zoo you will find a KFC with an outside sitting area, this is more fun!

Excellent Bangkok tips. Too bad about the food at the restaurant. I guess if nothing else, at least you had the nice view.
