Alabama -- Better than you'd think People tend to associate Alabama with evil: the Klan, Wallace, Selma, Lynyrd Skynyrd. Just kidding about Lynyrd Skynyrd. We have no proof that they were actually evil. For most people, Alabama is a pass-through state. You pass through it going from Atlanta to Memphis or New Orleans, or from the Midwest to Florida. No one ever goes to Alabama. And frankly, that's a shame. The truth, though, is that Alabama's actually a pretty durn groovy little state. Starting from top to bottom, you have Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Mobile, and the Gulf Coast. Actually, there's a lot of stuff in between, but let's stick to the best. |

MissyWQ Sun Nov 2, 2008 05:57 UTC Lived at Ft. Rucker - Army Helicopter School, near Enterprise and Ozark. Many good memories with my 4 sons there in their own tree houses, moon-scape, etc. down behind our military housing. | littlesam1 Thu Apr 17, 2003 15:49 UTC Cotton farmers and scientists in the same city. Sounds kind of wild. | RhondaRuth Mon Mar 3, 2003 18:55 UTC Hey, love this page! I'm actually going TO Birmingham in April to meet a VT friend for the 1st time. Looking forward to judging your observations first hand. | pipsqueak Tue May 28, 2002 17:23 UTC Freebird! Play Freebird man! |
