Zoo Station

By train, you'll very likely arrive at Zoo Station, your face pressed up against the glass. Zoo Station is one of those mad terminals, quite possibly the busiest I’ve ever encountered. Not only is it the main station for all travel in and out of Berlin, but it’s also got all sorts of commuter rail and subway lines radiating all over the city, including the U2 line (get it?). It’s a labyrinth of train lines, pushing crowds, snack bars, boutiques – it’s like an entire city in a train station.

The S-Bahn and U-Bahn will take you nearly everywhere you'd like to go. You can, in fact, take the U2 line to Zoo Station. (Get it? If you don't, go out and buy U2's chef-d'oeuvre, Achtung Baby.) Make sure that your schedule is not affected by construction.
