I am sure that most of you who have been to Italy or who are going to come here, have heart about The Amalfi Coast and towns like Sorrento or Positano. These places are very beautiful, but for me too much touristy. That is why, when I was planing my 4-day trip to Costa Amalfitana, I was dreaming about a peaceful place, without crowd and traffic everywhere - on a beach, streets and even in restaurants. I was looking quite a bit, but my discovery come over my expectation :)
The place I want to tell you about is called Marina del Cantone and it is a small fisherman village with a nice rocky beach, great camping place and a few cozy hotels with good restaurants. |
| | The music of weaves... We stayed in a camping place called "Nettuno", this is definitely place to recommend. The thing we enjoyed the most was the possibility of listening the waves when we were falling asleep. Something incredible.... Our tent was put on just 5 m. from the beach on a small hill and we had the best music every night for free :)
I recommend this place to all of you who like a simple pleasure. Sharing a beach with locals, eating un panino (a sandwich) in a bar right at the beach, watching soccer under the sky, collecting the rocks etc.
Forget about Marina del cantone if you seek night clubs, 5 stars hotels with fancy restaurants and possibility to dress up. |
