Unique Qualities: Nice, large rooms. Great pool. Fun casino (don't miss the Masquerade show in the sky). The last time I went they still had the 'Treasures of Russia' exhibit. Very nice. This hotel is always hopping, so if you're looking for a quiet place to gamble, look elsewhere. Somewhat pricey for an off strip property, but you can usually get deals.

Directions: A few blocks off the strip, but conveniently located near Ceasar's and the Bellagio.

$60 - $70. search the web for even better rates for off times.
Unique Qualities: Great little hotel. Small, quiet casino (not a great slot selection, with many old machines). Good buffet. Great service. Prices are a steal.

Directions: Off the strip, but right next door to the Tropicana and across the street from the MGM.

We managed to get our room for $45/night at a pretty busy time of year. Since our stay they have repeatedly sent us offers for free nights (including some weekends - that's rare).
Unique Qualities: Great price. Great for viewing the Fremont Street Experience. Excellent service. Fun casino. Lots of nickle slots. And one of the few places where you can play three-card-poker. Slot club is OK.
