Sun, Sea, Sand and the Sugar cane..

Maurice

wearing long sleeves to the beach
Going there during the winter time is not a good idea... cause it's very windy on the beach.. can't really do sun bathing though... it's chilly when you stay longer..

cant really do snorkeling too.. cause the temperature of the sea water is very cold..

the temperature was like 17 degree celcius at night
and about 22 to 24 degree celcius in day time.. It was quite windy and chilly
though when we stay at the beach, not to say at night but at the day time as
well. I had to cover myself a piece of sarong so that i could stay on the beach
longer.. most of the people just stay in the swimming pool at the resort cause
not so windy there..

Well i advice you should bring a sweatshirt or long sleeves shirt for night time
if you go outdoor. Flip-flops and shorts are ok at day and night.

I stayed at the east part of the island and it's called Le coco beach resort in
the flacq area..

My dad rented a medium sized car just enough for 4 in our family.. and i
followed the map to explore the places...

Well first day we covered the north part including Port Louis which is the
capital.. and the next day we covered the south part including the Chamarel, the seven coloured earth.

the le caudan waterfront.. there's a handcraft market there you really must visit there.. you can buy a lot of souvenirs there with reasonable prices.. and you can bargain with them.. there's a lady who sell paintings and i love them all.. i bought a small nice painting which i regreted that i didn't buy the another one.. well anyway.. the things are very nice there.. something local from there.. go one round first and you survey for the best prices..

you could rent a car if u want and just pay attention to the sign boards cause some are hidden and the local people mislead tourists to the wrong direction.. we rented Rs2000 per day..

Seven coloured earth definitely.. and we drove back the costal road which is very nice to see the beach and the sea.. but beware there isn't much public toilet along the roads, so go to the toilet whenever u have chance even if u dont want to go..

that's about all really.. and of course go relax on the beach... there are few
colours in the sea.. you get to see light green, dark green, light blue, deep
blue, cyan.. it's really beautiful...

and another thing is.. i think you only can change the currency either at the
airport or in the capital.. cause where i stayed doesn't have money changer and bank..
