Las Vegas Hotel Tips by justintobias

The hilton was being remodeled the last time that I went there which was Jan 2006. The dining choices are not the best. The staff is courteous. I had a few problems with my room and reservation all of which were fixed promptly. Its an OK place to stay. There are places you can stay for the same price that are nicer and more centrally located. I was there for a convention so it was convenient. After remodeling it might be more cool. It has a decent sportsbook for betting. If you are younger such as myself staying more centrally located on the strip is more fun but if you are there to gamble etc.. its an acceptable place.

Unique Qualities: Manilow plays there if you like him. StaR Trek Casino with an attached Star Trek restaraunt where you can meet some klingon and ferengie girls :) Access to the monorail system for quick travel to the other end of the strip.

I stayed here in Jan 2006 and had a blast. The rooms were much more nicer than some of the hotels I have previously stayed in and the rates were also less. So I got more for less. The rooms had nice beds with granite finishing and I had a room with a kick ass view of the strip. I dined downs stairs at the "steak house" which is a nice palce to eat with excellent service. Service was good. If you stay here you also get free admission to "tangerine" which is a swanky lounge on the first floor. You can also check out the pirate show deal on the boat. This is a good place to stay. I also had the pleasure of hanging out in the penthoust on the top floor and that is super nice with his and hers bathrooms, king size bed with all the nice linens, sofas and tables and a spectacular view.

Unique Qualities: Very nice rooms for not alot of money, more than other hotels offer.

I stayed here but it wasnt the most spectacular place. It was good for how much they charged which wasnt alot. Not located on the strip makes it inconvenient for travel if you do not have a car. Not really much to say about this place.

This place sucks. Its way expensive and you get nothing. Rooms are bad. They had an asbestos problem when I was there and had to get the place abated. The pool at my houst is bigger than here. Has no prestige at all. I have stayed in motel 6 before when on road trips and those were nicer than this place. There was alot of shady activity going on there too. I would wear sock in the room, dont walk barefoot. I'm sure the place is used to film low budget pornos.

Unique Qualities: What is outstanding about this place is how much it costs and how little you get. That is awesome. (thats sarcasm if you havent figured it out.)
