I have decided one of the reasons this is one of my more favorite parks is because it is so close to SLC. It is so easy to get to from home and so far away from the cares and responsibilities of the city. Besides that it doesn't have the visitation that the other better known parks have so I've always been able to enjoy that great southern Utah experience without crowds of other visitors. |
| | Great backcountry experiences It is easy to feel that you have seen the park by driving along Hwy 24 through it. Stop to see the petroglyphs, the orchards, the schoolhouse, the cabin and then you are on your way. But taking the time to visit the less accessible corners provides such a backcountry experience that you'll want to plan for that. |
