Perserverance Trail | River through Granite Basin |
If you are down town and want to go for a lovely, scenic hike and have several hours, I recommend Perseverance Trail. There are actually several trails off of Perseverance, so this is kind of a generic term, kind of like saying “I’m going to the mall”. (okay bad analogy because there aren’t that many trails, but quite a few).
Directions: Take Franklin Street uphill until it dead ends on 6th Street. Turn right and then turn left onto Gold Street to continue up the hill. The road will swing to the right then you will want to go left onto Basin Rd. Follow the road back and it will deposit you at the trail head.
The attached photo is actually from Granite Basin. Notice the sky is blue. I take very few photos as it is and hardly any if its raining. |
| | There is a lot of water running through this area; including a large number of waterfalls, some more spectacular than others. This is just a river shot. |
This was so cool! The porcupine was about three feet in front of me...hard to photograph too! Animals facinate me, and the porcupine is very interesting. I think they are so cute! | | |
