I've recently moved back to New Zealand after living in the States for 3 years. It's a bit of a shock to the system, but I'm enjoying being able to eat all my favourite foods that I've missed and be understood over the telephone and things like that. I'm looking forward to exploring Wellington more thoroughly as I'm originally from Auckland and have only really hung around the city centre when I've been down here previously, so I'll be sure to post pictures and reviews of anywhere interesting that I go on adventures.
Wellington has recently been called 'Wellywood' due to all the film work thats been going on here, mostly thanks to Peter Jackson (director of the Lord of the Rings (some of which was filmed right here in down town Wellington, like the part where the hobbits are first hiding from the black rider).

Living here in lovely Oriental Bay at the moment, a nice stroll around the waterfront from town. This beach is quite handy and nice, though not a patch on my old local (Bethells/Te Henga) back in Auckland and gets quite mobbed on nice days as its the nearest beach to the city.
