Stay at hotel was OK only. Staff were all friendly and willing to help and talk to you about anything. Always greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. Hotel room was too big (if that is possible). It was more like an apartment, having a living, dining, bedroom, hallway, closet and bathroom....only thing missing I guess was the kitchen! Bathroom was the worst expereince ever...having a strong and very bad odour. The same odour that is noticeable along the river (basically a sewridge smell). Apart from that I guess everything was not too bad.....
***IMPORTANT***
If you are getting to this hotel by taxi....Avoid this one...Number B 9383....he agreed to go by the meter, but once destination was reached...another 100 Baht was added on.....
Every other taxi we took was fine fast and very cheap....!!!!
Unique Qualities: Nice view from the revolving tower at the top of Baiyoke Sky Hotel. Location is about 30 mins walk to Central Siam....if you enjoy walking, then its ok, otherwise try a different hotel. The route to get to central Siam is quite frustrating as there is no one straight road. You are able to see it from the hotel, which seems minutes away, but getting there, you have to walk basically one big round through lots and lots of people!!!
