Italians: We came & conquered; time for a stroll!

by Lornabug - last update: Feb 25, 2007

Beautiful Rome

Suckle the teats of Rome!
Go for the history, stay for the food!
You will not know whether to look up or down.

Il chaquete non tocare!

That's my bad Italian for "don't touch the jacket!"

If you're going to Rome, put on your walking shoes, don't wear jeans that touch the ground, bring hand sanitizer, and don't wear white.

I'll try to leave tips that are worth your time since there are a billion tips on all the usual.

Otherwise, what can I say that you don't already expect? Get psyched for all it's cracked up to be!

We did it! A. Spinosa I mean ... Boy, was it loud! "No servizio, no Limoncello" ... I can still hear her yell it. It was only after a while that I realized it was her way to say everything was included ... Fun place!

Why didn't you write your tip about chocolates before our trip to Rome? :)

Love your Roma tips. It's been 30 years since I was there but I hope to go back someday and take my son with me (he was born in Italy). I appreciate the tips about renting an apartment for the week--that really sounds like the way to go!
