Temple Mount: Masjidil Aqsa...'The Distant Mosque'
  • Tip Rating:
  • Masjidil Aqsa (The Distant Mosque) was the one that ranks very highly in sanctity after Masjidil Nabawi in Medina and Masjidil Haram in Mecca in the Islamic world not The Dome Of The Rock (also known as Qubah Al- Sakhrah Mosque). The incorrect information about The Dome of the Rock being highly sanctity than Masjidil Aqsa should be taken seriously by all Muslim. It's stated in the Al-Quran about Prophet Muhammad s.a.w journey to Masjidil Aqsa during Al- Isra’ Wal Me’raj
    (Al-Isra' 17:1)

Temple Mount: Dome Of The Rock Or Qubah Al-Sakhrah Mosque
  • Tip Rating:
  • So many people were confused and mistaken that The Qubah Al-Sakhrah Mosque on Mount Moriah is Masjidil Aqsa. The Muslim believed that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w ascended to heaven from here in a night journey during Al-Isra' wal Me'raj. This magnificent mosque with it beautiful colored stained glass and the dome that gleam under brilliant sunlight is worth a visit.

Outside the Walls: The Tomb Of Abraham
  • Tip Rating:
  • One of the important evens in our journey there as a pilgrim was to visit as much as we can of all the places that were connected with Islamic Religion. We manage to visit the tomb of Abraham…We felt so happy to be able to do so despite the strict control by the Israelis soldier there, luckily S'pore have diplomatic ties with Israel or not we won’t be able to go there.

(update 07/09/07) Your pages were outstanding and informative. Loved all the Mosques. The Dome of the Rock is magnificent. Very fair presentation. Quite enjoyable and educational. Great photographs.
