Consider opting to take the vaporetto number 1 for a scenic, inexpensive tour of the Grand Canal. The trip afforded us with many photo opportunities and was throughly pleasant, albeit crowded. It took roughly 45 minutes to travel from St. Mark's Square to the Train Station.
