We traveled to Venice via Trenitalia, on the Eurostar, from Florence. The trip took roughly two and a half hours. Upon our arrival, we hopped a vaporetto to Murano. The vaporetto was immediately outside the train station, and inexpensively priced. We visited a few glass shops and observed glass blowers as they labored. After lunch, we headed back via vaporetto to St. Mark's square, in search of the Bridge of Sighs. From there, we hopped the number 1 vaporetto and returned to the train station. The trip from St. Mark's to the train station took roughly 45 minutes. After dinner, we hopped our train and returned to Florence. A wonderful day! |
