I visited Morocco in February 2008 as part of a tour through Gate One. I visited Rabat, Meknes, Fez, Marrakech and Casablanca. By far, Fez was my favorite spot during the trip. The old city was awesome. I felt like I went back 100 years. Explore the old town on your own - don't get suckered into needing a guide. You can manage it on your own and getting lost is half the fun! The people were nice. We only had one bad experience with a taxi driver in Casablanca who tried to tell us he was grand taxi when the sign on top of his taxi said petit taxi. Oh well, no matter where you go you always have to be wary of taxi drivers (although many are honest too). Go see Morocco!
