Bushwillow Lodge: Among wild animals ...

This lodge is in the Weavers Nature Park, a small yet animal-rich enclosure with a few private lodges on the park grounds. The rooms are spotless, breakfast and dinner are marvelous - the great cook even lets you choose your favourite dishes! As the Lodge is in a Nature Park, wild animals such as giraffe, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, monkeys roam the park grounds, but there are no predators or dangerous animals. You can hike trough the park and easily spot these animals on foot! In the night, you can here the wildebeest grazing before your veranda. It is also very close to the Hluhluwe National Park (ca. 30 minutes) and several Zulu villages.

Elephant House: Safari Feeling!

This lodge-like hotel was probably the best we ever stayed in while being in South Africa. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful, the rooms are thatch-roofed in African style and just perfect for honeymooners. In a large colonial-style rest area you can exchange stories with your fellow travellers. Sometimes monkeys came for a visit during breakfast! The rooms in the main house are quite expensive, but there are some huts apart from the main house that are much cheaper. Surely worth the price! It is also very close to the Addo National Park (5 - 10 minutes by car) and Shamwari.
