"My kind of town" Chicago by 2rs

John Hancock Center

If you have an interest for architecture and especialy tall buildings then Chicago is no to be missed. The city is along with New York where the first tall buildings was seen reaching for the sky.

You can walk this city for several days just looking up. Recomended sights for skyscraper heads are the observatory decks of the Sears Tower and John Hancock Center and an architecture cruise on the Chicago river and of course walking the streets. Just remeber to keep out of potholes and stairs.

There are so many buildings to choose from, but I think the John Hancock Center is my favourite. This huge dark chunk steel, completed in 1970, makes a nice contrast with its distinctive exterior cross-bracing to the more commonly glass facaded tall buildings.
