The Cliff Lodge Hotel: Large rooms to be comfortable in

Here is a picture of thier standard room. All rooms except the suite rooms have the same configuration. Beds are queen. Private bathroom of course.

The bathroom is large and elegant. Stone countertops and tiled tub and floors. The wall making up the back side of the shower/tub is actually glass so make sure you pull the curtain if your rooming with a stranger.

Unique Qualities: There are loads of unique qualities. Read the first tip above.

Cliff Lodge Hotel: Spa at the Cliff Lodge Hotel

A real benefit and reason to stay at this hotel is the convenience and service.
There are a total of 4 restaurants at the property from Sushi, fine American dining, Mexican, and bar.

But what I like is soaking my tired and spent body after every full day of skiing at the spa.
Its extra from the lodging rate but you can dip in the pool and jacuzzi downstairs for free. The massages are of course extra.

The Cliff Lodge Hotel: Little Canyon's best lodging option

The Cliff Lodge is not next to Alta resort. Actually its the huge hotel next to Snowbird. So why put the hotel on the Alta tips you might ask?

Lots of reasons:
Only real large hotel in the canyon that serves Alta and Snowbird.
Alternative to old lodges like Goldminers and Peruvian that are super small, smelly, but I will talk about the positives of those lodges later
True ski in and out capabilites with heated lockers and dryers for all you gear.
Can you say luxury spa. Top floor jacuzzis and heated pool, sauna, steam room, full massage services,
Seperate jacuzzi and heated pool on the main floor below.
Room service
A large room you can walk around in and not feel like a sardine

Unique Qualities: This hotel looks dominating with its concrete walls for a reason. Its the avalanche shelter for the whole canyon. Meaning if the worst case senario happens to come to place, everyone will be told to go there and will be safe from the largest avalanches.

Comparitevely, its not too much more expensive than the choices of condos or the lodges up at Alta.

Best part is you can ski out to Snowbird, and with the dual pass, jump to Alta in two lifts.

Comparison: more expensive than average

Directions: You cannot miss the hotel even if you try. Right below Snowbird

Price: US$120-180
