casa cuadrada - rizal's residence for majority of his 4 -year exile in dapitan. among a lot of other engineering marvels, his estate was dotted with many wooden structures he designed and built together with his students.

if you want to know more about rizal's architecture, feel free to email anytime - i wrote the book on this subject (first and only as far as i know).

(for my vt friends from abroad, jose rizal is the national hero of the philippines. he was martyred in 1896 at the age of 35)

hey miko, i am planning to visit dapitan next year. maybe you can share some places where I can find traces of Rizal. I'm no Rizal scholar but I'd like to know more about this singular Filipino.
