even with the throngs of tourists (and pigeons), venice without a doubt has the most unique atmosphere of any place on earth. it is simply one of a kind, no if or buts!
if a person who's never been anywhere outside his/her hometown only has one place to travel to, this has to be it.
unless, of course, that person already lives here. in which case, that person's choice should definitely be __________!

In our mini tour of America's baseball parks, we quickly learned the danger of a person setting down a beer to take our picture. Your trip still sounds amazing - your pages are very entertaining and well-written!
LOL! your only recourse is to go back to Venice soon! Virginia is freezing cold :( Incidentally, VA will be celebrating its 400th anniv. this May, for history buffs, it's a definite place to be.
