A good place to live | View of Innsbruck from the North side |
Innsbruck has the advantages of living in a city and having nature close by. The quality of life is very high, because you have all you need. In winter you can choose between many skiing areas within driving distance and in summer you can go hiking/mountainbiking or drive to Italy which is reachable in car within less than 1 hour...
I cannot describe how beautiful it is in the Spring and Autumn mornings, when you ride your bicycle to work. In Spring time, the trees are blossoming in colors of red, white and yellow. You can smell the scent of the trees and flowers as you cycle by and the sun is rising and putting the city in a beautiful light. The mountains in the background are still topped with snow, "topped with icing":-) In Autumn, the trees are turning into "country colors", as I call them, red, yellow, like in Indian summer. Chestnuts are falling on the streets and greens and most of the people (like me) pick them up and use them for an autumn decoration in their homes. The pathways along the Inn are taken care of perfectly by the city and I call them the "Golden Pulse" of the city, as there is so much life. I LOVE riding my bicycle along the Inn and it is one of the nicest things in Innsbruck life. |

| | The Inn valley The city is located in the Inn valley. You can arrive in Innsbruck via plane, with airlines like Austrian Arrows or Welcome Air. The arrival in Innsbruck is breathtaking - the view of the mountains and villages around during approach to Innsbruck is impressive. |
