Beautiful. We enjoyed our stay here very much. I recommend it.

This might be because the package we took and included this hotel was extremely low cost... so the recommendation goes also for the "look for a good deal for this hotel" part.

The Garden Promenade Cafe was a place I could stay for ever just to feel the sun falling on me. Local youth boys (I guess the ones that could afford it) were also hanging here to watch the not-properly-dressed-for-the-Cairo-dresscode-girls-from-abroad.

It's a luxurious place, former palace. So luxurious that, after coming back from the group's daytrips in some dirty, crowdy, poor areas of the city, it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Unique Qualities: *Luxurious accomodation.
*Nice views from the rooms.
*The perfect gardens and pool.

We stayed in Atlas Zamalek some years ago. I think it was ok for the money we gave.

Our room was huge, although it was a bit funny: when you opened the door you were finding yourself in front of a wall.

When you take a taxi, don't tell them "we are going to Zamalek" because the area is not Zamalek. Zamalek is a nearby island, very classy neibourhood - but this is not it. The area is Mohandesseen. Not that classy but ok.

Not very relevant but if you finally stay here, check on the opposite side of the road there is a great pastry shop. :)

Unique Qualities: Not bad.
