Basics

My name is Tracie and I'm currently living in Austin, TX (USA), though my parents are from Hong Kong and mainland China. I was born and raised in the Huntington, WV area and went to college at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. I love art museums and galleries, poetry, music (favorites: Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Regina Spektor, Ben Harper, Ben Kweller, and Cat Power), soccer, movies, and occasionally going out (I prefer the diviest of bars over clubs). While growing up, my parents wanted my brother and me to be cultured and to see other places. Therefore, they took us to different cities every summer. By the time I was 8-years-old, I had been in at least 10 states and 4 countries. I probably got my wanderlust from my parents.

Domestic Travel

I absolutely love to travel and I have traveled all around the United States. I've been to over half of the states and have lived in three states. I'm currently loving living in my fun, eclectic neighborhood in Austin, TX.

International Travel

I love learning about different cultures. My dream is to visit all seven continents (including Antarctica) and also live in another country for at least a year. So far, I've been to Canada, Mexico, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Brazil. I'm hoping to visit Argentina and Peru in 2007; Egypt, Iran, and Dubai after that; and South Africa in 2010 (World Cup!). I'd love to go to Europe at some point in time, too. I also want to go back to China, but explore the western side. I want to see the minority cultures and Tibet. I'm working on learning different languages to make traveling easier.
