A Land of Concrete and Beauty We decided last minute to travel to Japan for the Christmas/New Years. Japan is a magical place with the big city draws of Tokyo and the historical charm of Kyoto. With limited time we did a fairly typical itinerary for first time visitors to Japan:
Tokyo: 4 days (with a day trip to Mt Fuji / Hakone)
Kyoto: 2 days (with a 1/2 day trip to Himeji)
Hiroshima: 1 day (as a day trip from Kyoto)
Japan is very easy to navigate (at least, the main areas) for people who dont speak / read Japanese. Usually, all you have to do is say the name of the place where you are going, show a map, and you people can point you the right way. Also, many people speak limited english.
I highly recommend Japan as a place to travel! |
