cool, fun, relaxing...

typical canal scene

Last time....

For a conference (April 05), staying at Pulitzer and loving it. Only an hour or 2 to walk around the city, but hotel was great (see tips). Good to get back and remind myself of what I like about the place.
Locals can be a bit arrogant on occasions, but generally friendly and laid back. So cosmopolitain, and great for eating, drinking & culture. Love the almost "traffic free" environment.
again, canal scene

First time...

I have been scratching my head about that...I think it must have been Easter 1987. Went to "play" in hockey tournament (grass, not ice) in Haarlem, stayed in Zandvoort, but had a trip up to Amsterdam to see the sights.
canals everywhere!

In between...

Many trips, some business some leisure. Memories include taking my young son on a canal boat, concert at the Concertgebouw, my first Argentinian dinner...
