Fascinating culture | Cafe @ Archaelogical Museum |
You can spend a lot of time taking in historical Istanbul, its present culture, and so on.
If you go in the summer, take it easy and don't try to do too much at one time. You need to build in time because of the heat. |
| | History Some sites are almost compulsory. Aya Sofia, Topkapi Palace, Archaelogical Museum and Blue Mosque are all close together, but busy at peak times. Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar are also close by.
Thats just for starters... |
| | Present day Take a boat trip on the Bosphorus. They leave from Eminonu piers - public ferries, not tourist trip boats. You can get off at any of the stops and look around, have lunch or whatever, then get on the next ferry. |
