I'd been to Bangkok lots of times, Hua Hin and the north east (Khorat, Buriram), so it was time to see the north.
Definitely different from the other places I'd seen. Got a good hotel (Plaza I think) and very cheap flights with Thai International's domestic service. So cheap we upgraded to business on the return to Bangkok. At the time they operated 747s on the route, so a bit of fun to get on the top deck for small change. |
