Here is the Neolithic monument that has gained fame for being erected over four thousand years ago by um...um... who knows? Aliens. Ok, it probably was not aliens but more likely some really superstitious ancient people who had access to some ingenious mathmatics and astronomy. Today we are impressed mainly due to the fact that we can't figure out why people would put such large stones in a certain arrangement. The format of these neolithic stones has led to many theories, mostly crackpot, about how the stones were actually erected and who in fact erected them. I personally enjoy the time when Chevy Chase, in the movie European Vacation, knocks the pile of stones down with his car. He backs into it accidentally and the stones fall as if they were part of a large rock domino set.
