Picturesque capital.

Towards the Ocean
If you are in search of magnificent monuments as those who attracted and seduced you in the other European capitals it is not in Lisbon that you will find them.
I say it in all honesty since I visited this country five times and would gladly return.

The charm of Lisbon, because Lisbon has charm, lies in its picturesque, its opening on the Ocean by the Tagus river and its welcoming and often multilingual population.

I shall not describe here my wanderings on foot or by tram through the hills of Lisbon, but describe some remarkable museums of international value.
RIO TEJO

Pittoresque capitale.

I've long had a soft spot for Catherine of Braganza, England's Charles ll little Portuguese queen. It was gratifying to find out what happened to her after he died - Regent of Portugal no less, her tomb in the monasterry at Belem. Lisbon chamed me too.

The maritime museum is most interesting I know how long the mast boats take to build - my Dad made me one years ago and I still treasure it!! Stay warm and away from outdoors!!
