Hiking versus Orujo.

I read that:
"Its stunning natural surroundings make Potes an ideal destination for sports at any time of year. The list is long: hiking, mountain biking, climbing, mountain skiing, paragliding, hunting, fishing…"

Fine, but there is a time in life for less physical and more cultural things, so please forgive me if the distillation of the Orujo (local brandy of Potes) retained most of my interest.

My preference goes to the sweet Orujo with honey. I also very much liked the mini glasses called "chupito" with the form of a mini beer glass.

Warning !!! No Orujo before driving in the canyon of the Hermida !!!

Entre la randonnée en montagne et la dégustation de l'Orujo de Potes, ce délicieux marc de la vigne locale généralement adouci avec du miel, ma préférence, aujourd'hui, va à l'Orujo.
Ne vous y trompez pas, de mon temps à l'école et au bataillon d'infanterie, j'ai été un grand marcheur, tout à fait involontaire.

Another beautiful little town in Cantabria. It’s no wonder you don’t like hiking so much, since in your military service you were "un grand marcheur, tout à fait involontaire." (In my military service we usually drove jeeps or flew around in helicopters, so I did not have any bad experiences with hiking.)

Beautiful spot! Seems very familiar (from my times 'round Sallent de Gàllego.) I might walk the coastal Camino one day & would detour to see Potes. Tks for this!
