"Rich in history and nature." Île Sainte-Marguerite by breughel

Île Sainte-Marguerite Travel Guide: 22 reviews and 41 photos

Best on the Ile-Sainte-Marguerite was for us the nature with paths in the shadow of the Alep pine trees, the beautiful views on the bay of Cannes and on the island Saint-Honorat.
There are also these small beaches between the rocks where you can get in the sea which is very quiet.
Surprisingly once we had disembarked after a few hundred meters walking we were nearly alone. But that was at the end of September!
There are 20 km of paths over the island and 8 km for the tour along the coast.
There is also a large part of history with the Fort Royal.

What a perfect page to alight upon on such a wet and cold day as I have here today. Thanks for casting some sun my way and for arranging another meeting with that busy fellow Vauban! This place also reminds me very much of another little island further west - L'île de Porquerolles.

Vauban must have been a very efficient and hard-working person. He was everywhere!
