It was first time for me to travel at cold time of the year, but, this year Januar was first time not cold, so got rid of hesitates and headed to Hungary.
Budapest's climat is much more mild then Kiev's, so weather came off some sunny, some clouds... We spend there for sightseeing extrimly little time, just 2 days, but it was deffinatly unforgettable. Espessially at evenings.
Evenings at Budapest - thats something freaky special, when on clock is only 10pm, and on streets absolutelly no people (just some turists) and suspicious youngsters. Some lonely streets can be easily be a background for a Silent Hill movie. I know, its only coz of dead season, but what a blast - to walk around dead old dark city center districts.
Thus, now I see all the good sides of traveling at winter - its dead season, free hotels, less tourists,.free tables in cafes... Important just to wear up warmer!

As walking towards Margit bridge on Danube bank, we found few restaurant ships, and we picked up 'The Spoon" - as there... more travel advice

Unfortunatly, did not reached the Citadellia itself, but came across not bad photo spots on the way. more travel advice

Yes nice little page. It doesn't seem that cold in your pictures by the way you are dressed, but I don't know if i trust that as you came from Kiev and I would be coming from Spain! You thought it was warmer and I'll think I'm in a freezer ;)
Nice little page, nice pictures from the Fisherman's bastion and very different in the winter. In the summer the ice skating rink has basketball courts, live radio shows, seemingly thousand young kids. N.
