So what makes it so special? Although there is quite a fair amount of rivalry between Johannesburg (big city) and Cape Town (big mountain) it would really be unfair and impossible to make a fair comparison. The truth is while Johannesburg most probably has a leg up on the emerging and exciting urbanisation of modern South Africa, Cape Town is about coastal beauty and a slower pace of life. Cape Town I have always found to be special not just because of its beauty but of its great location - there are so many things to see in close proximity which makes this an obvious tourist must. Cape Town is also home to beautiful people, good food, interesting crafts and fabulous food - this will never be Europe but Europe will never be Cape Town either... |
