Portara, the symbol of Naxos

I know this is the most photographed spot in Naxos island, but Portara is the symbol of the island itself. Everybody seems to go there at the sunrise or sunset, everybody trying to take the perfect photos of the view, everybody trying to find the perfect place...
I don't think I have been so lucky to find this perfection but I enjoyed a whole lot to be there looking the sun going down in the sea...

Chora

Looking at the city from Portara's hill. Hora is a great and lively city, people were out untill late at night, strolling in the narrow streets of the Old Market, tasting some delicious greek food or just sitting in a outdoor caffe enjoying the world go by.
I liked the fact that mostly of the visitors was regular people, not fancy and the athmosphere was very relaxing.

great tips, especially about the beaches. The TV signal is problematic in many areas all over Greece but the digital one is coming soon :)

Naxos is the biggest island in Cyclades islands. Do not forget to take some great pictures in the ancient monuments.
