I just loved this part of Slovenia! Those green rounded hills with few trees, lots of vineyards and farms, the small curvy roads and the tiny villages.
Of all I was lucky to see in Slovenia, this have been the part I liked the most. Not the tall mountains, not the famous castles, not the crystal lakes. They were all beautiful, but nothing else gave me the peaceful feeling this part of Slovenia did.

mmmhhh I am wondering... would it have been the great wine they serve? ^_^ just kidding!!!

Look up for storck

When you are driving in this area, always look up! this is a place where storks build their nests and it is really easy to spot them on top of a electric pole or on a chimney like this one I saw. Unfortunately when the birds were there I did not had the camera, and when I went back with the camera they were, of course, gone!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Relaxing wonderful green area
Cons:none beside it is kind of far from everything

Indeed, you've got to right places to try local wine and foods. Among specialities in the Jeruzalem area is the 'snail' from vineyards - but i haven't tried that myself.
